Asana
Completed in 2002, this sculpture is carved from Italian Alabaster ( 8" (h) x 10" x 16").
Asana is the yoga name for position.  The asana of the child gives us the body folded in a fetal resting pose.  In this pose there is the tension and quiet of effort and stillness, symmetry of body and oneness of mind.
